This project is a small-scale 3D driving game developed in Unreal Engine using a modular level design approach and physics-based vehicle simulation. The game centers around controlled navigation, resource management, and structured progression within a stylized environment.

Skills
  • Physics-based gameplay system design
  • Vehicle handling tuning and simulation
  • Modular level and environment design
  • Gameplay logic implementation (checkpoints, fuel, win/lose states)
  • Resource management mechanics
  • Stylized visual development
  • Iterative testing and balancing
Tools
  • Unreal Engine
  • Chaos Vehicle Plugin
  • Autodesk Maya
  • Blender
  • Substance Painter
  • Unreal Engine Material Editor
  • P4 Visual Client
Core Gameplay Systems
  • Vehicle Control System
    • Physics-based car movement implemented using Unreal Engine’s Chaos Vehicle Plugin, with custom-tuned acceleration, steering, braking, and suspension.
  • Sequential Checkpoint System
    • Trigger-based checkpoints that must be activated in a fixed order to validate player progression and prevent route skipping.
  • Fuel (Gasoline) Management System
    • Continuous fuel consumption tied to vehicle movement, with collectible fuel pickups that replenish resources and enforce pacing.
  • Win / Lose State Handling
    • Game state logic that checks checkpoint completion for victory and fuel depletion for failure.
  • Player Recovery System
    • Checkpoints function as recovery points, allowing the player to reposition if the vehicle becomes stuck.
